Prosecutors and Scott Peterson’s lawyers will give closing arguments before a California judge, to determine whether Peterson deserves a new trial in the slaying of his pregnant wife and unborn child 20 years ago.
Scott Peterson was sentenced to death in 2005 for the murders of his wife Laci and unborn child Connor in 2002. However in August 2020, the California Supreme Court reversed his death sentence and ordered a lower court to re-examine the murder convictions because a juror committed prejudicial misconduct.
