Some 1,500 energetic responsibility Army paratroopers have been placed on alert for a possible deployment to Minnesota, in accordance with two protection officers.
The troopers are from the eleventh Airborne Division, primarily based at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska, one of many Army’s premier infantry formations and a frontline power within the U.S. army presence within the Pacific, positioned to assist deter China. The division can also be the army’s main formation for Arctic warfare.
