76ers’ Kelly Oubre Jr. has a damaged rib after being struck by a car

PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. broke a rib when he was struck by a car Saturday, the workforce mentioned.

The 27-year-old Oubre, who was drafted by the Wizards within the first spherical of the 2015 NBA draft, was taken to a hospital in secure situation after being hit. He was launched a number of hours later.

The workforce formally dominated Oubre out for a recreation Sunday evening and mentioned in a press release he can be re-evaluated in about one week.



The Sixers mentioned Oubre was strolling close to his house in downtown Philadelphia when he was struck.

Philadelphia police mentioned in an electronic mail to The Associated Press that Oubre was struck at about 7 p.m. whereas crossing the street at Broad and Locust streets in Center City, and that he was taken to Jefferson hospital. They mentioned officers are investigating.

Police advised 6ABC in Philadelphia {that a} silver car is believed to have fled the scene.

Oubre is in his first season with the 76ers and has averaged 16.8 factors within the first eight video games. He was the fifteenth general choose of the 2015 draft and has performed with 4 different groups.

The 76ers are house Sunday and play Indiana.
