A 911 outage impacted a number of states for a number of hours following fiber cuts inside the telecommunications system, officers mentioned Thursday.
Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves mentioned mentioned on social media that 911 methods in his state have been impacted following "a series of fiber cuts."
About two hours later, he introduced that the 911 system had been restored "and is now operating as it should throughout our state."
