Lavrov accuses Europe of making an attempt to undermine ‘progress’ made between Trump and Putin

For the second day working, Russia has appeared to pour chilly water over the prospects of ending the struggle in Ukraine.

Russia’s Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, mentioned the "so-called coalition of the willing" was making an attempt to undermine the "progress" made between Trump and Vladimir Putin in Alaska final week.

He went on to reject the discussions on establishing safety ensures for Ukraine as "hopeless".
