Parts of Gaza are formally experiencing a “man-made” famine, in keeping with a report by a United Nations-backed initiative. Israeli authorities rejected the report, saying it “relies on partial, biased data and superficial information originating from Hamas.” Meanwhile testimony and pictures from support teams and the UN present malnutrition has been current in Gaza for months.
