Sir Keir Starmer is dealing with a backlash from Labour MPs over the appointment and subsequent sacking of Lord Mandelson because the UK’s ambassador to the US.
The prime minister has been requested by his personal get together to set out what he knew and when, after pictures emerged highlighting Lord Mandelson’s hyperlinks to convicted intercourse offender Jeffrey Epstein.
