Housing secretary suggests Burnham is ‘taking potshots’ – and says get together must ‘pull collectively’
Cabinet minister Steve Reed has been chatting with Sky News about Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham’s management ambitions.
Kamali Melbourne requested Reed about Burnham’s remark that Labour can’t meet the nation’s challenges below a "very factional and divisive" get together management, and whether or not he agrees.
Reed mentioned: "He’s entitled to his view. We’ve heard comments like this before. When Labour was in opposition, some people would take potshots at Keir Starmer. He picked the party up off the floor and led us to a record-breaking general election victory."
