Tanaiste Leo Varadkar is set to replace Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin as Taoiseach.
Mr Martin will tender his resignation to Irish President Micheal D Higgins on Saturday morning.
The changing of roles at the top of Irish government is part of the agreement supporting the coalition.
