British climber survives surprising storm on Everest

Almost a thousand hikers, left stranded on Mount Everest after a snowstorm struck, have now reached security.

Some of these rescued had been reportedly affected by hypothermia, whereas others had been escorted to a protected zone to obtain medication, meals and oxygen.

One of these caught within the storm was Rob Mason from Jersey, who was climbing Everest to lift cash for charity in reminiscence of his daughter, who took her personal life a couple of years in the past.

Anyone feeling emotionally distressed or suicidal can name Samaritans for assistance on 116 123 or electronic mail [email protected] within the UK.
