On the season 22 premiere of ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ Dr. Monica Beltran (Natalie Morales) died following the explosion that rocked the hospital within the season 21 finale. Showrunner Meg Marinis defined to ‘Deadline’ that, whereas she did not need to kill anybody off, it turned evident that this was the place the story was heading. ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ airs Thursdays on ABC.
