Vice President JD Vance confirmed to "This Week" anchor George Stephanopoulos on Sunday morning that Hamas has stated they’re holding 20 dwelling hostages, and that these hostages are anticipated to be launched within the subsequent 24 hours as President Trump was headed to the area to mark the event.
"We are on the cusp of true peace in the Middle East. Really, for the first time in my lifetime … Our country should be proud of our diplomats who made this happen. It’s really a great moment for the world, too, which is why the president’s going to go over there and celebrate with these hostages. But it’s a great thing, and I’m very excited about it," Vance stated.
Trump is scheduled to go away for his go to to Israel and Egypt on Sunday afternoon and can meet with hostage households on the Israeli Knesset on Monday.
