Aston in Birmingham cannot grow to be a "no-go area" for Jews, a senior cupboard minister has informed Sky News, amid controversy over followers of an Israeli soccer membership being barred from attending a match subsequent month.
Energy Secretary Ed Miliband mentioned he "profoundly" disagrees with the "approach" taken by an area MP who began a petition calling for followers of Maccabi Tel Aviv to be banned from the Aston Villa recreation, saying it "cannot be the basis on which our country operates".
But whereas he mentioned the federal government is "working with the relevant authorities" to overturn the transfer, he mentioned he cannot assure it would occur.
