Parkinson’s affected person performs clarinet throughout mind surgical procedure

A Parkinson’s affected person performed a clarinet throughout a four-hour operation at London’s King’s College Hospital.

Denise Bacon described feeling "quite sceptical" as she did not suppose "it wouldn’t be possible to play the clarinet laying on the operating table".

Consultant neurosurgeon Professor Keyoumars Ashkan who carried out the surgical procedure, mentioned he tries "to understand the factors that will bring back quality of life that was lost because of Parkinson’s disease".
