Huge plumes of smoke as cargo airplane crashes at airport in Kentucky
At least three individuals have died after a cargo airplane crashed close to an airport in Kentucky.
Police are attending the scene of the accident close to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, with pictures from the scene displaying giant fires burning and smoke billowing into the air.
Speaking at a information convention, Kentucky governor Andy Beshear described the incident as "catastrophic" and urged native residents to obey any shelter-in-place orders.
"We believe we have at least three fatalities – and I believe that number is going to get larger," he stated.
"We have at least 11 injuries, some of which are very significant." Those injured had been stated to be on the bottom.
