BREAKING: Email to BBC workers says ‘there isn’t any foundation’ for defamation case

The BBC says it’s "determined to fight" after Donald Trump confirmed he plans to sue the broadcaster over the modifying of his speech in a Panorama information programme.

In an e mail to workers, BBC bosses mentioned there’s "no basis" for a defamation case introduced by the US president after the broadcaster edited a speech he made on the day of the US Capitol riots.
