Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood is talking within the House of Commons to put out "the most sweeping reforms to tackle illegal migration in modern times".
The plans are modelled on the Danish system and goal to make the UK much less engaging for unlawful immigrants and make it simpler to deport them.
