Indonesia’s Semeru Volcano erupts

An ash cloud blasted greater than a mile into the sky and miles down the volcano’s slopes on Wednesday. Officials raised the volcano to its highest alert stage, evacuated close by residents and warned individuals to remain a couple of miles away from the volcano’s crater over fears of further eruptions.
