The Israeli navy has killed Hezbollah’s chief of employees, Haytham Ali Tabtabai, in a strike on Beirut, the organisation confirmed tonight.
Lebanon’s authorities has condemned the assault, accusing Israel of ignoring a year-long ceasefire, however Israel mentioned it has no alternative because it won’t permit Hezbollah to rebuild its forces.
It is the primary Israeli airstrike on Beirut since June and it comes days earlier than Pope Leo is scheduled to go to Lebanon.
