UK unveils undersea army know-how to defend in opposition to Russian threats
Multimillion-pound plans for know-how wanted to defend the UK’s undersea cables and pipelines have been set out by defence chiefs.
The Atlantic Bastion programme, introduced as a part of the Strategic Defence Review, will mix autonomous autos and AI with warships and plane to establish threats to underwater construction and to defend them.
The Ministry of Defence stated it was "in direct response to a resurgence in Russian submarine and underwater activity", together with the spy ship Yantar, which was tracked round UK waters final month.
