Rob Reiner Honored at Critics Choice Awards 3 Weeks After His Death | Critics Choice Awards 2026

At the Critics Choice Awards 2026 on Jan. 4, host Chelsea Handler honored "nicest guy in Hollywood" Rob Reiner three weeks after he and spouse Michele Singer Reiner have been murdered. Handler advised the gang, “Anyone who ever spent time with Rob Reiner knows that the minute that you met him, he felt like an old friend. Rob and Michelle were tireless in their efforts to so many important causes, all stemming from one basic idea, decency, that we should all look out for each other.” Rob and Michele Reiner have been murdered of their Brentwood, CA residence Dec. 14. Their son, Nick, has been formally charged with their murders. His subsequent court docket date is Jan. 7.
