On a cobbled avenue within the Borgo Pio in Rome, a conventional district near the Vatican, there’s a very particular shoemaker. Descended from a household of cobblers, Antonio Arellano works alongside his son crafting footwear for cardinals and popes. Originally from Peru, he has lived in Italy for over 30 years.
