‘Stranger Things’ co-creators Ross Duffer and Matt Duffer detailed their expertise writing the sequence’ fifth and last season and why they started manufacturing earlier than finishing the script. "We went into production without having a finished script for the finale," Matt defined within the Netflix documentary ‘One Last Adventure: The Making of Stranger Things 5’ streaming Jan. 12. "That was scary because we wanted to get it right. It was the most important script of the season." Another level of competition among the many creators was Eleven’s destiny, which left followers questioning whether or not the teenager (Millie Bobby Brown) had really sacrificed herself to destroy the Upside Down and save the world. "God, I don’t know how to play this," Matt admitted within the author’s room. "The longer it goes, the more stories you have to tie up and the more character arcs you have to end. The more expectations there are with the audience. How do you meet those expectations but surprise the audience still?"
