Four astronauts safely returned to Earth final Thursday, capping a dramatic and strange week in house that required the crew to go away the International Space Station a few month sooner than deliberate due to a medical concern that arose in orbit.
NASA astronauts Zena Cardman and Mike Fincke, Japanese astronaut Kimiya Yui and Russian cosmonaut Oleg Platonov splashed down within the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of San Diego, at 3:41 a.m. ET after a virtually 11-hour journey.
These astronauts will likely be speaking about their mission at a information convention. NASA has not recognized the astronaut or the medical concern that prompted the house company’s first medical evacuation.
