‘Missed alternative’ to take newbie footballer who died of sepsis to hospital, coroner says

A coroner has dominated on the loss of life of Luke Abrahams, 20, who died of sepsis after feeling unwell with a sore throat in January 2023. His mother and father consider there have been errors in his care and {that a} misdiagnosis contributed to their son’s loss of life.

Jake Abrahams, Luke’s brother, says it has been "harrowing" to take a seat via the inquest.

"When mistakes are made in the NHS, the consequences can be fatal, lives are lost, families are destroyed," he stated.
