The UK’s commerce minister has informed Mornings With Jones And Melbourne that it will be "absolutely bonkers for the UK not to engage with China".

It follows US President Donald Trump warning that the UK growing its enterprise relationship with the Asian nation is "very dangerous".

But reacting to these feedback, the commerce minister informed Sky News he was sick of the UK’s "flip-flop in our relationship with China".
