The household of a youngster who died instantly from a blood clot linked to a contraception tablet says extra must be carried out "to prevent this tragedy from ever happening again".
Aine Rose Hurst, 19, died in March final yr from a blood clot in her mind, linked to her prescribed oral contraceptive tablet Femodette.
Speaking to Sky News’ The UK Tonight programme with Sarah-Jane Mee, Aine’s household referred to as for extra consciousness of the dangers round contraception tablets.
In an announcement to Sky News, the Bolton GP Federation stated: "We want to categorical our honest condolences to Miss Hurst’s household at this very tough time.
"In relation to the GP, as his employer, we carried out our personal inside overview and regarded this alongside the findings of the inquest.
"Our review and the inquest both concluded that the GP consulted with Miss Hurst in line with the UK Medical Eligibility Criteria (UKMEC), the nationally recognised guidance used by clinicians when a patient requests this medication."
