Defending Sir Keir Starmer’s resolution to nominate Peter Mandelson as UK ambassador to the US, Reed says Lord Mandelson lied concerning the extent of his relationship with the paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein.
Pushed by Sophy Ridge that the prime minister knew concerning the pair’s friendship, Reed says: "He didn’t because Peter Mandelson lied and the extent of that lying."
He provides that Mandelson "conned everybody".
