Sir Keir Starmer has advised world leaders the UK will deploy its provider strike group to the North Atlantic and High North area this yr.
Speaking on the Munich Security Conference, the prime minister mentioned the deployment will likely be led by the HMS Prince of Wales, "operating alongside the US, Canada and other NATO allies".
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio advised the convention the US will "always be a child of Europe".
