Mark Zuckerberg is about to testify Wednesday in a landmark Los Angeles trial alleging that main social media platforms had been deliberately designed to be addictive for kids and youths.
The case, which started final Monday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, facilities on claims towards Meta — the dad or mum firm of Facebook and Instagram — and YouTube, which is owned by Google. Plaintiffs argue the businesses knowingly constructed options that inspired compulsive use amongst younger customers, contributing to long-term psychological well being hurt.
