Minister Alex Davies-Jones has spoken to Sky News concerning the Chagos Islands settlement, after Donald Trump pulled his help for it.
The authorities’s place seems to be they’ll persuade the president to alter his thoughts once more.
Davies-Jones mentioned: "We are working carefully with the Americans, you recognize, the primary assembly that the prime minister had with president Trump, he said that this was deal, this was lease.
"Just two weeks ago, again, he reiterated that this was the best deal on the table. And just this week, the US administration stated that this was an important deal and they backed it. So we will continue to have those conversations."
