Andrew arrest: ‘This goes to be a really lengthy investigation,’ says ex-chief constable of BTP
The launch of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor beneath investigation means the case is "open-ended", a former chief constable of British Transport Police has advised Sky News.
Andy Trotter mentioned: "As far as release under investigation is concerned, this is potentially open-ended."
"The case will be reviewed – the College of Policing guidance is every 30 days – this is going to be a very, very long investigation of international inquiries."
By releasing Andrew on this means, Trotter added "police are not restricted to any time limits".
