D4vd has been named in a grand jury homicide investigation into the dying of Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The "Romantic Homicide" singer (actual identify David Anthony Burke) was known as a "target" of the grand jury case in a courtroom petition for the attendance of an out-of-state witness obtained by E! News. In the submitting, a prosecutor mentioned D4vd, a 20-year-old from Texas, "may be involved in having committed the following criminal offenses against the laws of the State of California, to wit: One count of murder." Elsewhere, the petition said that D4vd "may be involved in the death of 14-year-old victim Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who may have been a victim of foul play," per NBC News. E! News has reached out to D4vd’s rep and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for remark in regards to the petition however hasn’t heard again. In September, decomposing stays belonging to Rivas Hernandez, who was reported lacking in 2024, had been discovered within the entrance trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd.
