Travelers caught in lengthy strains amid TSA staffing shortages, partial gov shutdown
With the Spring Break journey rush underway, vacationers at airports throughout the nation are going through longer wait instances at safety checkpoints resulting from a Transportation Security Administration staffing scarcity linked to the partial authorities shutdown.
“Today, travelers are facing TSA lines nearly 3 hours long at some major airports, causing missed flights and massive delays during peak travel,” Lauren Bis, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs on the Department of Homeland Security, stated in an announcement to ABC News.
