Stephen Colbert revealed he’ll be writing the script for an upcoming ‘Lord of the Rings’ movie after his upcoming departure from ‘The Late Show.’ In a March 24 Instagram submit, the late-night discuss present host revealed he’s growing a brand new movie tentatively titled ‘The Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past,’ alongside franchise director Peter Jackson and longtime collaborators Philippa Boyens and Fran Walsh. The mission marks a significant shift for Stephen, who will log off from ‘The Late Show’ on May 21 following CBS’ choice to finish the collection after greater than a decade.
