‘Growing anger’ within the US army in direction of the UK, says former overseas secretary

Sir Keir Starmer allowed the US army to really feel "let down" by refusing to let UK bases be used within the preliminary US strikes towards Iran, former overseas secretary David Owen has advised Sky News.

Speaking to Sir Trevor Phillips, he stated there was "growing anger" on the opposite facet of the Atlantic over the UK’s stance.

The prime minister initially refused to let US plane use UK bases over fears in regards to the authorized foundation of the strikes towards Iran – he later backtracked on that call.
