Trump: US airman ‘secure & sound’ after rescue

A lacking US service member whose F-15 jet was shot down over Iran has been rescued by US forces in an operation that concerned “dozens of aircraft,” President Donald Trump mentioned. He added that the service member “sustained injuries, but he will be just fine.”

The high-stakes search started Friday after an F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet was shot down within the area. Another crew member was rescued shortly after the crash and is receiving medical consideration, CNN beforehand reported.
