A parachutist slammed into the scoreboard at Lane Stadium at Virginia Tech on Saturday and needed to be rescued by the Blacksburg Fire Department, video from the stadium exhibits.
The faculty confirmed the parachutist was "checked by medical personnel on web site and was handled and launched.”
A press release from Virginia Tech stated: "one of three parachutists was blown off course and got stuck on our stadium scoreboard. First responders from Virginia Tech and the Town of Blacksburg quickly responded and within 15 minutes had him safely on the ground."
