The medical information of half 1,000,000 volunteers to Biobank, the UK’s well being data database, has been supplied on the market on-line, the federal government has mentioned.
Technology minister Ian Murray instructed the Commons, the charity had instructed the federal government the information "had been advertised for sale by several sellers on Alibaba’s ecommerce platforms in China".
He added the charity had mentioned the information "did not contain participants, names, addresses, contact details or telephone numbers".
