The medical information of half 1,000,000 volunteers to Biobank, the UK’s well being data database, has been supplied on the market on-line, the federal government has stated.
Technology minister Ian Murray informed the Commons, the charity had informed the federal government the info "had been advertised for sale by several sellers on Alibaba’s ecommerce platforms in China".
He added the charity had stated the info "did not contain participants, names, addresses, contact details or telephone numbers".
