The suspect, who stormed by means of a safety checkpoint and shot a secret service agent on the White House correspondents’ dinner in Washington DC, was armed with a number of weapons and knives.
He has been recognized by US authorities as 31-year-old Cole Allen, from Torrance, about 15 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles, who had no prison file.
