The prime minister has weathered a troublesome day with three severe exams to his management.
It started with proof from ex-Foreign Office boss Sir Philip Barton in regards to the appointment of Peter Mandelson because the UK’s ambassador to the US.
Morgan McSweeney, Sir Keir Starmer’s former chief of workers, was subsequent – he informed MPs Mandelson’s appointment was a "serious error of judgement".
And lastly, the PM survived a vote on whether or not there must be a parliamentary inquiry into whether or not he misled the House over the Mandelson subject.
