Reform MP Suella Braverman clashes with Sky’s Sophy Ridge over £5m donation to Nigel Farage

Nigel Farage did not have to declare round £5m he obtained shortly earlier than he turned an MP as a result of it was "private", Reform UK MP Suella Braverman has claimed.

Farage reportedly obtained round £5m from a British businessman based mostly in Thailand, which ought to have been declared beneath parliamentary guidelines.

In a heated change, the Reform MP claimed the donation was "a personal gift for his private purposes" made earlier than he was elected, and so would not have to declare it.
