Cruise ship with lethal virus outbreak on board to sail to Canary Islands

Live view of the MV Hondius from Praia because the cruise ship with almost 150 individuals waits for help off Cape Verde’s coast within the Atlantic Ocean after three passengers died and three others had been left critically in poor health in a suspected hantavirus outbreak.

The ship will transfer to the Canary Islands, Spain’s well being ministry says, after it was anchored off Cape Verde following the lethal outbreak.
