Attorneys called more witnesses to the stand in the penalty trial for Parkland school shooter Nikolas Cruz on Friday. The jury will decide if the 23-year-old should face a death sentence or life in prison without parole for the 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School that killed 14 students and three staff members. He pleaded guilty in October 2021 to 17 counts of murder and 17 counts of attempted murder. The trial will resume at 9 a.m. ET on Monday, July 25.
