Asylum system is in an ‘utter mess’ – Amnesty International UK
Amnesty International UK says the government’s new law to stop small boat crossings will do "nothing to fix the absolute mess it has made of the asylum system".
Steve Valdez-Symonds, director of the charity’s Refugee and Migrant rights programme, said the system was an "utter mess" which was costing taxpayers more and wasn’t looking at the human reality.
