Prince Harry is scheduled to participate in a charity event in London, but he does not have plans to meet up with his family.

Prince Harry will be present at a charity function in London tonight, but it is unlikely that he will have any interactions with King Charles III or Prince William. This comes as Britain gets ready to commemorate the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.

Since Harry and his wife, Meghan, relocated to California in 2020, their relationship with the family has become tense. The divide grew wider over the past year as Harry criticized the family in a six-part Netflix series and his memoir titled “Spare,” which refers to his role as the secondary royal son compared to William, who is the heir to the throne.

According to an insider from the palace, as reported by The Daily Mail newspaper, Charles does not have any available time in his schedule to meet with his younger son. Currently, the king is at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where the queen passed away on September 8, 2022. William, on the other hand, is located in Bournemouth, approximately 100 miles (160 kilometers) away from London.

Harry went to Britain to participate in the yearly awards event organized by WellChild, an organization that assists critically ill children in receiving necessary treatment at their homes instead of hospitals. The prince has been a patron of the charity since 2007 and has previously attended the awards ceremony 11 times.

The WellChild Awards honor the inspirational achievements of young people it serves and those who care for them. Harry is to present the award for Inspirational Child aged 4-6 and deliver a speech. He also is to spend time with the winners and their families.

Harry is anticipated to make a trip to London alone, without Meghan.

The couple will come together again this weekend at the Invictus Games, a sporting event for wounded soldiers, starting on Saturday in Dusseldorf, Germany.

The Invictus Games were established by Harry in 2014 as a global event similar to the Warrior Games in the United States. Its purpose is to motivate military veterans who are striving to recover from injuries sustained in combat.
