Britain’s defence secretary has warned the UK won’t hesitate to take "direct action" towards Houthi rebels who’ve attacked ships within the Red Sea.
The Iran-backed group have been attacking ships which they are saying are related to or travelling to Israel.
The Houthis, together with Iran, have pledged assist for Hamas following the 7 October assault on Israel.
Writing within the Daily Telegraph, Grant Shapps wrote: "The Houthis should be under no misunderstanding: we are committed to holding malign actors accountable for unlawful seizures and attacks."
He added: "Continued Red Sea aggression risks miscalculation and escalation which could trigger a region-wide conflict."
