The S&P 500 fell Wednesday, opening the brand new yr with two consecutive days within the crimson.
The benchmark index fell 0.8%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite dropped 1.2% whereas the blue-chip Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 0.8%, or 285 factors. Eight of the 11 sectors throughout the S&P 500 closed decrease.
