Housing Secretary Michael Gove has introduced he’s standing down at this basic election.
After practically 20 years because the Conservative MP for Surrey Heath, and serving in a number of cupboards over the course of the final 14 years, Mr Gove has stated "a new generation should lead".
In a letter to his constituency chairman, the veteran cupboard minister stated being an MP and minister has been a "profound privilege"
"As a child in Aberdeen I could never have imagined I would have the opportunity to sit in the Commons, let along the cabinet table," he wrote.
